Scam Alert

Fraudulent emails regarding travel information

Dear tandemPV Workshop participants,

It has come to our attention that some of our participants and speakers have received scam or spam emails from a domain called "gtravelhosting.com". These emails typically request information regarding your travel arrangements.

Please be aware that these emails are fraudulent and should be treated with caution. Do not respond to these emails or provide any personal or travel-related information.

Conexio-PSE GmbH, the organizer of tandemPV, does not share participant information, including email addresses, with any travel agency. We take the privacy and security of our participants seriously and do not engage in such practices.

If you receive any suspicious emails related to tandemPV travel arrangements, please disregard them and do not take any action. In addition, we encourage you to report such incidents to us.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these fraudulent emails and thank you for your understanding.

The Venue

The tandemPV Workshop 2024 will take place on the premises of the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Check-In desk will be located on the ground floor of building A on the first day of the workshop, June 25. All Technical Sessions (oral presentations) will be held in building C (room: REC C1.04). For poster presentations, breaks and lunch we will gather in „De Brug“ (building D, 4th floor, can be accessed through building C).

By plane

If you need to travel by plane, your flight destination is „Amsterdam Airport Schiphol“ (AMS), the main airport in Amsterdam.

By public transport

The University of Amsterdam (UvA) is easily accessible by public transport. For your convenience, step-by-step instructions are provided below:

From „Amsterdam Airport Schiphol“

In case you arrived via „Amsterdam Airport Schiphol“ (AMS), the best way of to get to University of Amsterdam is to first take the train from the airport train station „Schiphol Airport Station“ to the train station „Centraal Station Amsterdam“.

„Schiphol Airport Station“ is located directly beneath the airport. In the arrival hall, follow the „Trains“ signs to Schiphol Plaza, the airport’s main foyer and then take the stairs, moving walkway or lift down to the platforms.

Here you can find the timetable for trains from the airport train station „Schiphol Airport Station“ to „Centraal Station Amsterdam“. The train ride to „Centraal Station Amsterdam“ takes approximately 20 minutes.

From „Centraal Station Amsterdam“ (travel time: 10-12 min)

  1. Take metro line 51 (direction Isolatorweg), 53 (direction Gaasperplas) or 54 (direction Gein) and get off at "Weesperplein". The exact departure times are available from the Dutch Railways (NS)
  2. Exit the metro station by following the signs for "Uitgang" and go to street level by following the signs for "UvA".
  3. At street level, walk north on „Weesperplein“ for about 100 meters and turn right into „Nieuwe Achtergracht“.
  4. Continue straight on „Nieuwe Achtergracht“ for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with „Roetersstraat“.
  5. Cross the "Roetersstraat" and continue straight ahead for 50m. The University of Amsterdam (UvA) is in front of you.

Note: As alternative you may also consider using rideshare providers such as Uber or Bolt to reach the workshop venue. You can request these practical private taxis via their respective app.
