halm elektronik delivers high-end class A+A+A+ solar simulators for the IV-measurement of all types of solar cells and solar modules. In addition to visual inspection and other advanced analysis, our main focus is the exact measurement of the electrical characteristic of photovoltaic specimen. The three technical components xenon flasher, curve tracer, and a very flexible software are the key to our precision. Their combination makes the halm technologies high-end which is acknowledged worldwide.

LayTec, founded 1999 in Berlin, is a major provider of in-situ and in-line optical metrology for thin-film processes. LayTec‘s InspiRe metrology system monitors all relevant perovskite formation processes (spin-coating, annealing, PVD, slot-die-coating) in-situ by reflectance spectroscopy. Ideally, it can be complemented by LayTec‘s spectral or time-resolved photoluminescence metrology system PearL, which can be applied in-situ or in-line. Both systems can also be used for monitoring degradation.

It’s a deep-tech innovation centre specialising in the technological development of third-generation perovskite photovoltaic cells and their upscaling for industrial applications.

The project ‘Solar PV Manufacturing Industry back to Noord-Brabant (NL)’ combines the development of perovskite solar foils with the concept of mass-customization, that enables to produce a wide variety of Integrated PV products. Perovskite is the leading candidate to be used on top of silicon solar PV cells. With this tandem technology, we aim to achieve production of solar panels with at least 28% efficiency in no more than 5 years. TNO, together with Solliance partners, has already realised tandem cells at laboratory scale with an efficiency of over 30%.

The Province of Noord-Brabant supports the solar energy ecosystem in the Brainport region, which has a long tradition of successful high-tech research and industry in thin film systems. This work will be done in close cooperation with the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) and many companies in the Brainport region
